Physician – Oncology – Hematology / Oncology in Pennsylvania
Job Details:
Are you a Hematologist/Oncologist searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Pennsylvania might be the perfect fit for you!
Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: Monday through Friday office hours 8-4; hospital rounds/consults daily on assigned weeks; Saturday and Sunday hospital rounds/consults on assigned weekends (4 hours per day onsite); call after hours for clinic critical values or urgent patient matters (no need to return in person)
- Job Setting: Office and hospital; possible travel two days per week to outlying office in Somerset (30 minutes from main campus); 16 infusion chairs in modern building with multiple medical practices and services
- Types of Cases: Full spectrum of cancer care including nurse navigator program, multiple tumor boards, and radiation oncology nearby; 12-15 patient encounters per shift; overseeing APPs; consulting service only with no hospital admissions
- Credentialing: Approximately 14 days; Locums-to-Perm candidates highly favored
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist with 2 years of fellowship
- Certifications:
- Licensure: Active PA license or IMLC with LOQ in hand; Pennsylvania requires completion of 3 hours of Mandated Reporter Child Abuse Recognition training and 4 hours of Pain Management and Opioid Prescribing Practice education
