Physician – Pathology in Virginia

Opportunity Highlights
- Medical Director AP/CP Pathologist
- Hospital based position
- Oversight of technical staff and lab operations
- Ensure regulatory compliance, validation processes, and quality initiatives
- Lead process improvements and participate in the Medical Executive Committee
- Handle surgical pathology sign-outs, including complex cases and frozen sections
- Optional participation in cytopathology
- Supervise clinical lab areas: blood bank, hematology, chemistry
- Participate in on-call duties: intraoperative consults, frozen sections, blood bank calls
- Community 30 minutes outside of Washington D,C
Minimum Requirements for Consideration
- Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP)
- Fellowship training in surgical pathology preferred
- 5+ years of surgical pathology sign-out experience
- 3–5 years of laboratory leadership experience ideal
- Active Virgina license
