Physician – Psychiatry – Child & Adolescent in Ohio

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Block schedule 7 on / 7 off, Monday to Monday; 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM onsite coverage with evening beeper call during the 7-day shift; coverage every day including weekends; target start date 8/17 or week of 8/31
  • Job Setting: Inpatient – Acute Psychiatric Unit; 10-bed unit
  • Types of Cases: Anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, eating disorders (preferred), developmental disorders (preferred), organic disorders (preferred); involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, restraint application; pharmacotherapy; follow-up to new evaluation ratio of 8:3; 6-10 patients per shift; 2-5 admissions per call; 5-10 phone consults per call
  • Call: Beeper call; call type covers both inpatient and outpatient; 30-minute response time required; 1:1 call ratio; callback burden is extremely low (0-5%); provider is 2nd call (APP is 1st call)
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Support Staff: 4 RNs, 2 MAs, 3 PA/NPs, 6 Office Staff
  • Supervision: Provider will be required to supervise Advanced Practice Providers; no resident or teaching supervision required
  • Facility Trauma Level: Level 3

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
  • Certifications: BLS (required), PALS (required)
  • Licensure: Must be licensed in Ohio; will consider IMLC
  •  Fellowship Requirement: 3 years
  • Credentialing: Estimated 15-30 days; temporary privileges available
