Physician – Psychiatry in Minnesota

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9-hour day shifts (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM); Overtime after 9 hours worked (very rare). Scheduled coverage blocks: 9/21 (Orientation), 9/22-10/5, 10/13-10/19, 11/3-11/16, 11/24-12/11, 12/29-1/11, 1/26-2/8, 2/23-3/8
  • Job Setting: Inpatient (Onsite Consult Services) and Telehealth; No Call
  • Types of Cases: Consult services for psychiatric issues on Medical Units (primarily) and some ED consults; intermittent tele-consult coverage to regional hospitals in MN and WI. Clinical areas include: Anxiety Disorders, Affective Disorders, ADD/ADHD, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Developmental Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, and Organic Disorders. Familiarity with Involuntary Commitments and Restraint Application preferred. Patients per shift: 5-7
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Credentialing: Estimated 45-90 days; Temporary privileges available; Hospital privileges required. Candidate must have a consult services background outside of residency. Candidates must have no “yes” disclosure answers on the Essentia Q&D form to qualify for privileges.

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required; Fellowship required
  • Licensure: Active Minnesota medical license required; Both MN and WI licenses/DEAs required due to tele-consult coverage to regional hospitals in both states, will accept IMLC
