Physician – Radiation Oncology in Louisiana

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:45am-3:15pm and Friday 7:30am-12:30pm
  • Job Setting: Hospital System 
  • Types of Cases: 10-15 average daily patient load M-F. Complete weekly treatment visits and oversee treatments.
  • Credentialing: 90 days

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS
  • Licensure: Louisiana, will consider IMLC
  • Fellowship: 2 years

Required Specialty Skills

  • Brachytherapy: Intracavitary (i.e. Mammosite), Interstitial, Vascular/Endovascular, LDR – Low dose rate, LDR – high dose rate
  • External Beam Therapy (EBRT): Linear Accelerator, Rapid Arc/VMAT, Electrons, Tomotherapy, Superficial/Orthovoltage
  • Techniques: Conventional/Conformal Therapy, Intensity Modulated Radiation therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Stereotactic Body radiation therapy (SBRT), Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) – all types, Cyber knife, Gamma knife, Intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT), Total body irradiation (TBI), Total Skin electrons (TSE), Hyper altered fractionation
  • Treatment Planning: Conventional treatment planning, Beam shaping (MLC), 3D CRT, IMRT, PET CT or MRI Image Fusion, Electronic Portal Imaging (EPI), Clinical Trials
