Physician – Radiation Oncology in Montana

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: ASAP through August 31, 2027; one month on / one month off (flexible); typical day is 9 hours; overtime after 9 hours; 15-20 patients per day; 2-3 consults per day; daily on-treatment volumes of 25-30; attendance at tumor board required
  • Job Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient; comprehensive cancer center (regional cancer center serving a draw area of 1.3 million people); Cancer Center under one roof with Medical and Gyn Oncology
  • Types of Cases: Follow-ups, treatment visits, and consults; Radiation Oncology including External Beam Therapy (Linear Accelerator, RapidArc/VMAT, Electrons); Techniques: Conventional/Conformal Therapy, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, Hyper Altered Fractionation; Treatment Planning: Conventional, Beam Shaping (MLC), 3D CRT, IMRT, PET CT or MRI Image Fusion, Electronic Portal Imaging (EPI), Clinical Trials; Equipment: All Varian site (2 Linacs/TrueBeam & Trilogy), 1 Siemens Go Sim CT, Aria EMR, and Eclipse treatment planning system
  • Call: Beeper call; one call every four weeks; 20-minute call response time required; call is for both inpatient and outpatient

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible required
  • Certifications: BLS required
  • Licensure: Licensed in Montana (MT) required; will consider IMLC
  • Fellowship: Required
  • Credentialing: Estimated 60-90 days
