Physician – Surgery – General Surgery in New Mexico

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: 7-10 days per month of call coverage; call shift times are 7am-7am; beeper call with 20-30 minute response time to hospital
  • Job Setting: Hospital; no clinic or hospital work; no trauma designation; small hospital with lower volume.
  • Types of Cases: General Surgery (adult); laparoscopic appendectomy; GI endoscopy (upper and lower); sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy preferred; approximately 6 patient encounters per shift
  • Credentialing: 60-90 days
  • Start Date: March 1, 2026 – Ongoing

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency
  • Certifications: BLS
  • Licensure: NM state license and DEA required
