Physician – Surgery – Neurosurgery in California

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Inpatient and Outpatient; Clinic and Call coverage. Weekdays: 8:30am-5pm (clinic/call), 5pm-8:30am night call. Weekends: 24-hour call coverage. Specific dates needed: 11/21-12/9 and 12/27-1/6. Start Date: 11/21/2026 – Ongoing. Guaranteed 8 hours per day; overtime applies after 9 hours per day.
  • Job Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient; Level 3 Trauma Facility
  • Types of Cases: Complex spine cases including spinal surgery with and without instrumentation (cervical, thoracic, lumbar); general neurosurgery (adult); trauma; placement of ICP monitors; tumors (preferred); VP shunt (preferred); application of external traction (preferred). 5 patient encounters per shift.
  • Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days. Providers will need to submit 100 cases within the past 24 months specific to privileges being requested during the privileging process. All specialties require 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in the specialty. Gaps greater than 3 months must be explained. Current case logs must be included upon presentation. Fellowship required. An updated CV with all hospital affiliations must be uploaded at time of presentation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required; Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency may be considered.
  • Certifications: FLURO certification required (temporary FLURO accepted). Other certification required (details to be confirmed). No ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, or PALS required.
  • Licensure: Active state license required. Active DEA required.
