Physician – Surgery – Orthopedic Surgery in New Mexico

Are you an Orthopedic Surgery physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in New Mexico might be the perfect fit for you!

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: 24 hour beeper call coverage (provider is not required to be onsite). Shift times 7am-7am but could be flexible. Starting 2 weeks in December, ongoing approximately 2 weeks a month but could be more sporadic.
  • Job Setting: Hospital
  • Types of Cases: Light volume. 1-4 patient encounters per shift. Required procedures include: Total Joint Replacement (Hip, Knee), Joint Revision or Repair (Shoulder, Hip, Knee)
  • Credentialing: Approximately 90 days. Provider will need to go through hospital privileging process as well as payor credentialing. Ensure case logs within the past 24 months are available.

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency
  • Certifications: Fellowship
  • Licensure: Active NM license and NM DEA
