Physician – Urology in Michigan

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation; 4 clinic days and 1 OR day per week; No call coverage; August 3, 2026 start preferred; 1-year or longer commitment sought
  • Job Setting: Outpatient Clinic and OR; Da Vinci Xi Robot onsite; Facility lodging available if applicable during scheduled shifts; Trauma Level 3; 25 beds in department; 20 patient encounters per shift
  • Types of Cases: General Urology (Adult – Required; Pediatric – Preferred); Laparoscopic surgeries; Ureteroscopy; Renal and bladder ultrasound with biopsy; TRUS biopsies; Fertility work-up; Nephrectomy (Preferred); Prostatectomy (Preferred); Robotic surgery (Preferred); Incontinence procedures (Preferred)
  • Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30 days; MI License, MI CDS, and MI DEA required prior to start; Background check and drug screen required; Medical Staff Services/CVO will conduct separate credentialing and privileging review

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible required; American Board of Urology or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery – Urological Surgery
  • Certifications: ACLS required
  • Licensure: Active Michigan State Medical License; Michigan Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) Registration; Michigan DEA Registration, will consider IMLC

Experience Requirements

  • Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA-accredited residency/fellowship or foreign training in Urology required
  • At least 50 urological procedures reflective of the scope of privileges requested within the past 12 months, OR successful completion of an ACGME or AOA-accredited residency/clinical fellowship within the past 12 months
  • Fellowship: 2 years
