Job Details:
VISTA has an Interventional Cardiology opportunity in the eastern part of Kentucky in the valley of the Big Sandy River.

Job Details:
-Specialty: Interventional Cardiology
-Site: Prestonsburg, KY
-Facility: Non-surgical center
-Reason: Vacancy, ongoing coverage needed
-Certifications: American Board of Internal Medicine, Interventional Cardiology boarded and fellowship trained
-Experience: Must be fellowship trained, Provider would need more than 100 Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in the prior 24 months. Two years of experience outside of Fellowship is required. Will accept one year of experience if coming from a high-acuity and patient-load fellowship
-License: Must be Kentucky licensed at the time of presentation
-Shifts: 24-hour call 8a-8a (offsite hours after 6p will hold pager/take call)
-Rounding: The position would include rounds in the Call, hospital, lab time, and clinic
-Trauma Level: N/A
-Annual Visits: 130-150 Percutaneous Coronary Intervention annually
-Patients Per Shift: 8-10 in the clinic per day
-Call Required: Yes weeknight and weekend call required
-Patient Population: Adult
-Backup Coverage: Midlevel
-EMR: Meditech
-Credentialing: Temporary privileges, issued in 1-2 weeks. Clean files only.
-Call Requirements: Locums required to take call
-Types of Procedures/Cases: Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Echocardiogram, Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), standard Interventional Cardiology procedures
-COVID Vaccination Requirement: Yes, required
-Life certifications: ACLS, BLS (American Heart Association accredited required)
